With 30 years of experience as a bookkeeping accountant, Barbara is a loving wife and mother who has spent her career helping businesses thrive. Born and raised in the Bronx, New York, Barbara built her expertise by working with various businesses in Manhattan and across the tri-state area. As technology evolved, she expanded her reach to work with businesses nationwide.
Joshua Ovalles is the second-oldest son of Barbara Daniel, the founder of Figgie’s Finance. From a young age, Joshua was immersed in the world of business and finance, learning the fundamentals directly from his mother, Barbara. His passion for culinary arts led him to a successful 14-year career as a chef, during which he applied the financial principles instilled in him to lead the successful opening and operation of five restaurants for companies such as Walt Disney World, Alexandria Restaurant Partners, and the Mad Eats Restaurant Group.
In 2020, Joshua decided to transition from the kitchen to entrepreneurship, driven by a desire to explore new ventures. His first company was a successful short-term rental business, where he operated properties on platforms like Airbnb. This success was followed by his partnership and co-founding of Figgie’s Finance. Joshua played a crucial role in establishing the foundation of the business and continues to facilitate its growth. He ensures that everything operates smoothly, allowing Figgie and her team to focus entirely on serving their clients.
